NIKON PALS PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP

The Nikon Pals is a Photography Club with a difference.  Its members are a diverse group of individuals who have one thing in common mental illness.  The Nikon Pals have proven that mental illness need not be a barrier to artistic impression.

Calendar of Events

BACKGROUND

Photography has proven to be an excellent avenue for creative expression.  The skill level of the members has progressed to amazing levels since our initial meeting in January 1997.  Our members have not only learned the fundamentals of camera use, but more sophisticated photographic and digital composition.

Being part of the club has provided many therapeutic rewards.  The members have been able to focus their creative energies, gain confidence, socialize, and discover the unique and diverse community of Hamilton and its surrounding areas.

PURPOSE

  • to acquire photography skills

  • to have fun

  • to develop and participate in a hobby

  • to expand our creativity

  • to meet new people and make lasting friendships

  • to explore our community

  • to be part of a group
